Traceability

We in Milarex want to give our seafood consumers the opportunity to see where their salmon comes from and how it’s raised. We believe that openness and honesty create trust. We are carefully selecting where to source the best sustainable Norwegian salmon and you can learn about the area of origin.

Antibacterial packaging

We are now introducing an antibacterial surface coating on our sleeved consumer products and SKUs (stock keeping units) to prevent any microbial transfer. This antibacterial surface will continuously and permanently kill germs from the packaging throughout the product lifecycle. The surface coating contains photosensitizers a substance that takes advantage of the principle of photodynamic: This photocatalyst is activated by visible light - transfers this energy to the surrounding oxygen. So-called singlet oxygen is created, which efficiently kills germs by oxidizing the germ shell.

A wide choose of marinades with herbs such dill and Provencal selection is offered, often unique in character and reflecting seasonality. After marinating in controlled conditions for a prescribed time, the fillets are dried and sliced for packing together with a carefully matched sauce. In additional to Gravad marinated salmon, our offer includes a variety of unique flavors, like Black Pepper, Pesto, Provencal or Toscana. Marinated salmon are packed using the MAP technology.
